School Involvement

We are very involved with many of the 66 high school and college programs in the Carolinas, including serving on advisory boards, assisting in career days, providing speakers for classes, etc. We also provide assistance to NC and SC SkillsUSA contests. The PICA Foundation provides 58 scholarship support for students and teachers. PICA has a student awards print competition each  year, open to students in graphic communications courses for high school and college levels.

Government Affairs

SSTA Involvement. Active monitoring of legislative activities in Columbia and Raleigh.

Business Services

401(k) program offered through an outside provider. Discounted services available for credit card processing, industrial towels and uniforms, utility audits, and others as provided through PIA. Management tools include Wage & Benefit Survey, Ratios, etc.

Awards

The PICA Awards, currently in its 53rd year, provides members with an opportunity to benchmark their work against fellow members of similar size.

Communications

The PICA Scanner, newsletter printed every other month. PICA Talk, electronic newsletter distributed every two weeks. Resume Register distributed every two weeks, www.picanet.org.

Associate Members

PICA has an active Associate Committee, meeting every other month. They plan and provide resources for webinars and other educational programs.
