Government Affairs
The association is active at the legislative and policy levels throughout our territory through regular interaction with elected officials, regulators, and state agencies. The association retains lobbyists for key issue monitoring and strategy as needed.
Business Services
Managerial leadership and business consulting, financial services and software training, disability and life insurance, 401(k) retirement plans, credit card processing, internet-based job placement and resume site, computer hardware and software, freight and package discounts, publications, human resources, labor relations assistance, member advantage programs offering savings in energy, telecommunications, and credit and collection services.
School Involvement
Provide direct support for secondary programs through partnerships with State Departments of Education. Plan and coordinate annual three-day summer conference for instructors as well as a day of professional development each fall. Actively encourage and support industry career events in support of workforce development initiatives.
Serve on local advisory committees; participate in open house events and career fairs.
Member of National SkillsUSA Technical Advisory Board, PrintED National Advisory Board, and regional career and technology education advisory boards. Organize and coordinate state SkillsUSA Graphic Communications competition.
Social and Networking Activities
Golf outing, Excellence in Print Awards, VendorFest, Crab Feast, Cocktails and Connections networking events. PGAMA maintains an active presence on social media websites, including Twitter, LinkedIn, and newsgroup and membership pages.
