PIAG provides seminars, workshops, and other educational programs and resources for both members and non-members. The PIAG Educational Foundation is contracted with the Georgia Department of Education to provide industry-related programs for educators and to maintain support of PrintED accreditation and sponsor SkillsUSA competition for students in graphic communications career programs.
Business Meeting & Annual Conference
Held in January, PIAG's Business Meeting & Annual Conference hosts approximately 100 industry professionals for the induction of Officers and Board, a management conference, and tabletop expo.
Industry Awards and Recognition Programs
Each year, PIAG's Print Excellence Competition recognizes Georgia's finest printing and imaging businesses for their outstanding achievements in print. The winners are recognized at the annual ImPRESS Celebration of Print event which also honors great industry and community leadership through the prestigious Benjamin Franklin Award. Held at a landmark venue, ImPRESS features an Industry Showcase open to the public and hosts exhibits by printers, designers, suppliers, graphic arts schools, and more.
Political Advocacy
The objective of the PIAG Government Affairs program is to represent the printing and imaging industry in Georgia on matters of mutual concern by affecting public policy. PIAG has been active in monitoring and supporting legislation in the Georgia General Assembly which impacts its members as well as national legislation through the PIA Government Affairs department.
Insurance
The Association owns and operates an insurance agency which provides health, business, and workers' compensation insurance to a majority of PIAG members.
Communications
The Printqueue newsletter is produced bi-monthly with association and industry news. The PIAG blog, Pressing News, is published weekly, and the association website (www.piag.org) provides event updates and registration for attendees. PIAG supports Print Access as a membership directory resource and it promotes Choose Print as an educational tool and industry sustainability resource.
Other Information
Founded in 1894, PIAG is one of the oldest established trade associations in Georgia. PIAG's entities include the PIAG Educational Foundation and the PIAG Printers' Group Insurance Agency.
