Industry-specific roundtables and seminars are facilitated for management, sales, financial, union, and environmental and safety topics. Digital Technology Council webinars discuss the latest trends in print technology, while the Profit Matters webinar series addresses business practices and financial issues. Quarterly HR Update and quarterly Environmental Update webinars.

School Involvement

Outreach to high schools, two-year technical schools, and four-year colleges through counseling programs, career fairs, and advisory boards. Serve on Ball State University's Graphic Arts Management Advisory Board, Waukesha County Technical College's Graphic Communication Advisory Board, and UW-Stout's Graphic Communications Management Advisory Board. Produced workforce development videos and brochures for use by students, parents, and guidance counselors to explore career opportunities. GLGA Education Foundation and the Illinois Graphic Communications Scholarship Consortium. Free student entries in the Graphics Excellence Awards.

Government Affairs

Maintain strong working relationships with key departments and open discussions on legislative and regulatory interests for the industry, including sales and use tax and graphic arts exemptions; and environmental, health, and safety issues. Disseminate information and calls to action to members on key issues.
