Alliance Committees

Committees address issues related to a specific function within the industry. Their purpose is to increase the relevance of PRINTING United Alliance, its activities, events, services, and influence for a community, and provide expertise in specific areas of operations.

They provide guidance, direction and support on projects within the organization, including community-focused events and educational programming. As part of its work, each committee will develop a plan to increase reach in the following areas:

  • Membership in a specific community
  • Exhibitors related to a specific community's needs
  • Attendance of the community at various events, most especially the Expo
  • Developing a knowledge base to include research, white papers, and articles of interest
  • Social media outreach effort
  • Media partnership opportunities, sponsorship opportunities, collaborative opportunities

Additionally, each PRINTING United Alliance Committee operates within the strategic guidelines set by the Board of Directors.

Current Committees

Health, Safety, and Personnel Committee

The Health, Safety, and Personnel Advisory Board provides input and advice on issues involving employees. This includes compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's regulations, human resources issues such as policies and procedures, compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and compliance with the federal National Labor Relations Act related to unions and union organizing.

Ink and Chemical Manufacturers Committee

The Ink and Chemical Manufacturers Committee serves in an advisory role to the Alliance staff to address federal and state legislative and regulatory issues affecting member companies and the industry.

Legislative Affairs Committee

The Legislative Affairs Committee serves in an advisory role to the CEO and Government Affairs staff to provide input on federal and state legislative and regulatory issues affecting member companies and the industry.

Sustainability Committee

The Sustainability Committee serves in an advisory role to Alliance staff to address foreign, federal, and state sustainability and regulatory issues affecting member companies and the industry.
