Product Description:
The Printing Industries of America 4-Color 25x38-in. Sheetfed Test Form v6.0 is designed to run on 40-in to 42-in. 4-Color offset printing presses. The Sheetfed Test Form v6.0 is the only true multi-functional test form available providing printers with the most accurate means to; diagnose mechanical issues, fine-tune register system components, standardize print characteristics, evaluate various print materials, calibrate proof-to-print system, and qualify to ISO 12647-2 color standard and other industry specifications.
A unique and dynamic feature of the 4-Color 25x38-in. press test form is the color management designation area within the form. There is an 8.5x12.5-in. area left intentionally blank on these test forms where the user is able to drop in various industry noted color management targets they might utilize, some of which are included on the CD with the form. It also allows printers a space to incorporate their own test targets, cartons, labels, or artwork for specific clients.
Included is one CD-ROM (Mac or PC-compatible) with test form in EPS file format and a detailed operator friendly Users Guide. The User's Guide is included in PDF format on the CD. Another benefit is the inclusion of three separate targets on the CD specifically for color management calibration: The Printing Industries of America Photo Montage, the ANSI IT8.7/4-2005 test target, and the ECI 2002 test target.
Multi-Functional test form elements and features include:
o Mechanical Attributes Elements: color control bars, ladder targets, digital register analysis tool (DRA), tone scales, and image fit devices.
o Print Quality Components: tone scales, proof comparator, color control bars, mottle patches, quality control photographs, positive and negative text targets, positive and negative line device, and the Photo Montage.
o Color Management Targets: tone scales, gray balance chart, and the color management designation area (included are the Printing Industries of America Photo Montage, the ANSI IT8.7/4-2005 test target, and the ECI 2002 test target).
