Hard Bargaining to Impasse
Hard Bargaining to Impasse
Item No: 1821
member: $20.00
Product Description:
"Hard bargaining" is the technique of aggressive collective bargaining by which employers lawfully may "take on" their union at the bargaining table to achieve the employer's bargaining agenda or to resist the union's and, upon bargaining impasse, to permissibly put into effect the employer's final offer even though the union boss does not agree to it.
Printing Industries of America has a long history of providing labor relations assistance to members. In fact, PIA was founded in 1887 on the principal of labor relations for both union and nonunion printing companies. While Printing Industries has expanded the types of employment-related services it offers to its members, labor relations issues continue to be one of the members' needs that Printing Industries supports by providing information, networking opportunities, labor relations assistance, and union liaison on a national level. This publication is provided to assist unionized Printing Industries of America members in effective labor relations.
